Kendisinin bu çalışmayı, “Proje bizim için özellikle başka altyapıdan yapılan bir geçiş olduğundan çok önemli. Projeyi danışman arkadaşlarımızın özverili çalışmaları ile kesintisiz ve başarı ile gerçekleştirdik. Müşterimiz, proje sonrasında;

    Project Goal

    Following implementation of the Movement to Increase Opportunities and Technology (FATIH) project in the second semester of the 2011-2012 school year, students now receive education in classrooms equipped with smart boards, as well as tablet computers. The tablet computers distributed to students within the scope of the project are supplied by Sentim.

    The FATIH project that started in 2010 aims to offer students the benefits of the information technology, and to enable them to use the technology more efficiently, by equipping the classrooms with the state-of-the-art technology.

    The goal of the Project is to equip the classrooms in all schools in Turkey with smart boards, wireless Internet access, infrastructure cabling, and to distribute tablet computers to each student for a modern educational environment. Planned to be completed within 4 years, the project commenced at a ceremony, which was participated in by the Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, held at Sebahattin Zaim Anatolian Teacher High School on February 6, and Samsung-brand tablet computers were distributed to students at 52 schools in 17 provinces in Turkey within the scope of the pilot stage of the Project.

    Solution

    The software installed on the 10.1” Samsung Galaxy Tab products distributed in the pilot regions were designed and developed to specifically suit the web portal of the Turkish Ministry of National Education. The software enables students to download the textbooks from the portal, and renders the tablet computers, which are not registered in the system within a specific period of time, to become out of service, and contains a security system against loss and theft. Additionally, the software enables the school administrations to manage the devices remotes, and prevent use of the same beyond intended use.

    The tablet computers distributed to students come pre-installed with textbooks enriched with animations, audio, video files, photos, maps, and graphics, etc. conforming to the respective curricula, while those distributed to teachers are equipped with features enabling them to monitor what students do on their own tablet computers, all contributing to the motivation, attention and comprehension skills of students. Being capable of taking notes, marking important sections on their tablet computers, students will no longer have to carry heavy bags filled with hardcopy textbooks, reference books and notebooks. Thanks to the connection between the interactive smart boards and tablet computers, anything written or shown on the interactive board is replicated on the tablets of students, and students can send any content on their tablets to the smart boards by way of the Internet.

    Project Goal

    The information technology crimes that rapidly increase in our country as in the world have become one of the major issues today. Gathering and evaluating data relating to crimes committed using information technologies, taking required measures to prevent such crimes, carrying out joint operations with the concerned units, and taking necessary actions in accordance with the provisions of the relevant legislation are among the tasks of the Branch Directorate for IT Crimes and Systems. Creation of the infrastructure required for investigation of the digital materials confiscated and evidences collected during operations, revealing the persons that involve in computer crimes, damage electronic data, generate, replicate counterfeit e-signatures and e-certificates, etc. is the main goal of the project.

    It was aimed to create an easy-to-manage system with high availability for the critical applications and data used in the organization. Furthermore, it is important to increase the performance and level of availability as the used disk space increases.

    Solution

    The HP P4500 G2 scale-out storage clustering disk system is used as the hardware infrastructure to meet the performance and disk space requirements of the organization. The disk system accesses the Network with 10 GbE. Furthermore, HP c7000 Blade Systems are utilized for the server and network consolidation. Fully redundant HP 8212 Backbone Switches (each module 10 GB) are used in the system. Thus, a high-performance structure operating on iSCSI SAN, which is the future’s disk access protocol, has been established. The VMware Virtualization system is utilized to ensure that the applications operate with high availability rates. 47 different software applications were delivered to meet the requirements of the organization with respect to analysis, technical investigation and inspection of information technology crimes.

    Aiming to become a major IT base in our region with this project, Istanbul Directorate of Public Security IT Crimes and Systems Division has achieved a high availability levels in its applications owing to the new IT infrastructure. High-capacity storage area and iSCSI technology enabled the organization to have a Disaster Recovery System with High Availability. A considerably easy-to-manage IT infrastructure has been created thanks to all these systems. 47 different software applications enabled the organization to identify and analyze computer crimes, and to conduct technical investigations on IT hardware and software effectively.

    Project Goal

    One of the operations conducted with the aim to increase the quality of the primary education aims inclusion of the information technologies in the primary education curriculum.

    The following goals are aimed with respect to integration of information technologies into the primary education curriculum:

    To improve the cooperation among the community, school, teachers and students using the information technologies;

    To support the learning environments with educational software, electronic reference sources, application software and educational games, to increase the quality of education;

    To integrate the information technology tools into the learning environments from the first grade to the 8th grade of the primary education;

    To provide each student with the opportunity to access all kinds of state-of-the-art information technology devices (information sources) during their education;

    To provide all students with the skills to use the correct information technology device at the correct time and place;

    To provide all students with the skills to access information, solve problems, process and present information using the information technology devices, and to teach them how to use the information technology devices in their daily lives;

    To enable students to gain the skill to learn themselves actively, without having to study at passive learning environments;

     

    To enable student to gain the skills to use the Internet, drawing software, word processors, electronic spreadsheets, and presentation software as utilities in their learning processes;

    To enable teachers to use computers to prepare their instructional plans, apply lessons, develop measurement and evaluation tools, to score performance of students, prepare educational materials and to improve their personal skills;

     

    To enable school management to simplify the administrative processes and making them more effective using databases, word processors, presentation software, etc.;

    To establish the “Management Information System”.

    Solution

    2.022 School Project in 2007:

    Information Technology Laboratories (Information Technology Classrooms) were successfully established at total of 2.022 schools of the Ministry of National Education in the Western Black Sea Region. Total of 15 student computers and 1 teacher computer, printer, scanner, projectors, power and data cabling infrastructure and furniture were supplied to each school within the scope of the project.

    17.261 School Project in 2008:

    Information Technology Laboratories were successfully established at total of 17.261 schools of the Ministry of National Education in the Marmara and Western Black Sea Regions. Total of 15 student computers and 1 teacher computer, printer, scanner, projectors, power and data cabling infrastructure and furniture were supplied to each school within the scope of the project.

    Recruitment Data System Hardware and Equipment

    Project Goal

    The project aimed to conduct the operations performed by the central and rural organizations of the Ministry through a state-of-the-art system automation. To this end, it was required to establish the Ministry of National Defence (MSB) Data System infrastructure and to provide e-state services in the fields of recruiting and, mobilization, etc. through this system.

    Thus, citizens will be able to follow the military roll-call procedures without having to visit the recruiting officer and without suffering penalties using the computers in their homes or workplaces through the Internet, or mobile phones using mobile signature, via the E-State Gate. Users will be able to check whether there are any mobilization or military exercise tasking orders for themselves, or for the vehicles and construction equipment belonging to their companies using the online services.

    The local and external recruiting office difference will be eliminated to create a “Single Recruiting Office for the Whole Country” to provide the respective services to each and every corner of Turkey. Within this framework, all recruitment procedures, including obtaining Military Service Status Certificates, will be completed in a short period of time, at anytime and anywhere. Citizens will have to visit the recruiting offices only for final roll-call purposes and on deployment dates. University students will no longer have to send their student status certificates to the recruiting offices to defer their military services. Citizens will be able to choose their call periods online on the electronic environment. This facility will enable seasonal workers such as farmers, people working in the tourism sector, etc. to join the army in any call period they want. Citizens living abroad will be able to submit their applications for deferment of their military services, or military service in foreign exchange procedures on the electronic environment using the portal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Turkish citizens living abroad will also be able to submit any other personal applications by e-mail on the Internet, and the results of their applications will be delivered to them by e-mail.

    Solution

    Hardware and infrastructure requirements of total of 550 recruiting offices in Turkey have been met within the framework of the project.

    The PARDUS Operating System, which was developed by TUBITAK and called the “national operating system”, is used on corporate level for the first time on the systems supplied within the scope of the project. Total of 4.500 thin clients are used in the project, and the system infrastructure installed represents an example in Turkey.

    Project Goal

    The General Directorate of Turkish Post aims to spread use of smart cards by its customers for money withdrawal and transfer, bill payment transactions, etc. at all its branches, and in the future, to perform financial transactions through the PTT Bank ATMs and/or the ATMs of the contracted banks.

    Solution
     
    Total of 300 thousand magnetic cards were supplied for use by the PTT Bank, and all of them were personalized in terms of graphics and electronics. To this end, total of 4.500 units of smart card readers/printers and smart card personalization software, and training services were provided to the organization. The personalized smart cards have been delivered for distribution to the customers of the PTT Bank. PTT spread use of the smart cards for use at all branches, and increased the number of the procured cards in future procurements.

    Emergency Communication System

    Project Goal Fast access to disaster areas to provide aid and support to survivors in case of natural disasters first requires existence of adequate communication systems, and their availability and perfect operability during disasters. Therefore, the General Directorate of Civil Defence aimed to create an uninterruptable communication system through integrated radio, satellite and computer systems for use in case of any natural disasters throughout the country, covering supply of all equipment required for installation of the necessary infrastructure in all 81 provinces.

    Solution

    Within the scope of the project, HFF/SSB radio systems were supplied and installed for the SSGM Search & Rescue Forces in 11 provinces, and satellite telephone systems and required computer hardware were supplied and installed at local Directorates of Defence in 81
    provinces.

    Financial Participation Bank Of Turkey

    Project Goal

    Providing services to more than 1 million clients with 182 branches and over 3.350 employees, the Financial Participation Bank of Turkey continuously improves the availability rate of its services through swift IT investments. Utilizing the virtualization technologies, the bank replicates the critical applications at a different location from the headquarters located in Istanbul, Turkey. The project aimed to upgrade the virtualization software to the latest versions, and to automate the replication network.

    Solution

    The Bank had two locations in Ankara and Istanbul. Synchronized replication was used at the disaster recovery location in Istanbul, and asynchronous replication was used at the one in Ankara, EMC Symmetrix data storage systems were used in both locations. First, the virtualization software used in the system was upgraded to the latest version (VMware vSphere).

    In the second stage, a consistent replication structure was established without disturbing the data integrity between the Istanbul Headquarters and Ankara Disaster Recovery Center, and a fully-automated virtual replication structure was established using the VMware Site Recovery Manager software.

    As a result of this project, the Bank achieved 30 per cent increase in the system performance owing to the new version of the virtualization software. The new fully-automated disaster recovery system optimized the operational continuity and service availability, providing easy-to-manage disaster recovery system that can be tested at any time.

    Project Goal

    Turkish Economy Bank continues to maintain its reputable and privileged position in the Turkish banking sector with its ever growing branch network, product and service diversity, as well as its operations in other fields of the financial sector such as investment, leasing, factoring, insurance and portfolio management, etc.

    Turkish Economy Bank signed a partnership agreement with the BNP Paribas, which is among world’s top six banks, the biggest bank in the Euro region operating in more than 87 countries, on February 10, 2005. This partnership combined the powers and experiences of TEB, one of the esteemed and strong brands in the Turkish financial sector, and BNP Paribas, an international brand. With this partnership agreement, BNP Paribas has secured shares in TEB Investment, TEB Leasing, TEB Factoring, TEB Insurance, TEB Portfolio Management, as well as in TEB NV, which operates in Amsterdam as a Dutch bank.

    Turkish Economy Banks ranked among the top 9 banks in Turkey with its TRY 25,7 billion total assets achieved as a result of merger with the Fortis Bank. With this project, it was aimed to upgrade the e-mail archive structure used during the merger process, and to combine the e-mail archive systems smoothly against any possible risks that might have arisen as a result of the merger.

    Solution

    The current e-mail archive structure (Symantec Enterprise Vault) used by the Bank was upgraded to the latest version to ensure compatibility with the Exchange and Office 2010. These operations had been completed prior to transition from Exchange 2007 to 2010, and the entire archive structure was prepared for the new e-mail system. Following completion of the project in March 2011, TEB resumed providing services to more 10 thousand users.

    Following version upgrading operations, the archive structure and the single server structure was changed to multi-server structure, considering the additional number of users from Fortis after the merger. In spite of the doubling archive size, services can be provided smoothly.

    Project Goal

    Turkish Airlines transports over 25 million passengers annually with around 17 thousand employees and an annual turnover exceeding 1,5 billion US dollars. The company has one of the youngest fleets in the world with over 150 aircrafts. Turkish Airlines offers flights to 1060 cities in the world as a member of the Star Alliance. The organization is ranked among the global brands in a short period of time, being a source of pride for our country.

    With the IT Networks Renewal Project, Turkish Airlines aimed to renew the organization’s existing fiber optic, CAT6 UTP, power cabling, and rack cabinet systems, as well as to make additions, restructuring, and to ensure their compliance with the respective standards.

    Solution

    The SM an MM (om3) fiber optic cabling system was renewed with a 12 core SM/MM outdoor horizontal fiber backbone line between the central system room and buildings located in other locations. The fiber optic, CAT6 UTP cables and termination accessories used in this project were of HCS brand, and internationally certified products were used in the infrastructure.

    With this project, Turkish Airlines has strengthened its backbone network. 3-years of network infrastructure requirements of all sales offices of the Turkish Airlines and of airports in Turkey were met and restructured with this project.
